The House
Mas des Avelines is a luxurious holiday villa in Provence that sleeps up to ten people. The house is set in its own extensive private grounds with a heated swimming pool. The Provencal mas (farmhouse) has been restored to an exceptionally high standard to combine modern style and comfort, with traditional features.
Mas des Avelines is light and airy with five ensuite double bedrooms. The spacious open plan living area has doors opening straight onto a terrace, from here there are far reaching views across the beautiful Provencal vineyards and landscape.
Set in approximately four acres of private gardens and grounds, Mas des Avelines offers a swimming pool, pool house, shady terraces, a volley ball court, children’s play area and extensive private grounds with olive and fruit trees. The pool terrace steals the show with its sitting area, al fresco kitchen and dining area. A perfect place for relaxation, or for sun lovers and stargazers.
The house and grounds are meticulously maintained. To keep the accommodation in tip-top condition we provide a housekeeping service six times a week, plus we include six continental breakfasts per person per week during your stay. We understand that part of the pleasure of being away from home and on holiday is to take a break from domestic routine. We hope these services help you to relax and fully enjoy your stay.
The house is set in the peaceful undulating hills north of Bandol, and is just a short distance from the coast. Nearby there are many lovely villages to explore, particularly La Cadière d’Azur and Le Castellet, as well as the more famous attractions and towns of Provence and the Côte d’Azur.
Shortly after opening in July 2014, Mas des Avelines was awarded the coveted 5 star rating, the top national quality accreditation, in the holiday accommodation category by the French Tourist Board.
What is Vinyasa Yoga :
Sri Krishnamacharya defined vinyasa as a cycle or a circle with a beginning, middle and end. The intelligent unfolding of a sequence of practise, of life or of nature. The cycle of vinyasa is also often described as a wave – an arc in space and time. Life is a Maha Vinyasa from its beginning to its end. How we connect to this Maya vinyasa and the current of life is our choice – Vinyasa Yoga is a way of allowing us to feel this flow and the constant vibration of the universe both around us and within us and to move with and not against the eternal circle of life.
Based on Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga is the search for balance between the solar- heating and dynamic elements – and the lunar – calming, grounding elements. Just as with Hatha (Sun/Moon) Vinyasa Yoga seaks the balance and harmony in our practise and that of the environment or the day’s activities.
Through the sequences of flowing postures we seek the harmony of breath and movement, between alignment of the physical body, awareness of the mind and of the present moment we inhabit. Its about being aware, being in contact with and listening to our body.
